8 Irish Hip-Hop Acts at Longitude 2018

One of Ireland’s biggest up and comers in Hip-Hop, Jafaris’ music has gotten him the attention of many, including UK rapper J Hus, who he supported on his “Common Sense” Irish tour date.

Tebi Rex

            With their alternative approach to hip-hop, this Kildare group are some of the freshest faces on the Irish hip-hop scene. Their debut EP “Welcome to the Darkest Year Of Our Adventures” dropped in early 2018, and since then Tebi Rex have been gaining more and more traction with their live performances.

JYellowL

            With his conscious lyrics and soothing flow, JyellowL, has been impressing ever since the release of his debut singles “Life Right Now” and “yellow thoughts 1” in 2016. An artist sure to get the crowd in the right mood for J Cole later that day.

Rejjie Snow

            Arguably the biggest name to come out of Ireland in recent years, Rejjie Snow has received international recognition, touring with the likes of Madonna, and becoming label mates with the likes of Young Thug and Fetty Wap. Sure to draw a big crowd on Saturday Evening.

Soulé

            With no time to restrict herself within the confines of a specific genre, Soulé has been releasing tracks since 2016, and gaining traction ever since. The most prominent female artist on the scene in Ireland today.

Kojaque

            Rapping about life working in a deli, the toils of being perceived as a “scumbag” because of an accent, and hateful love making is difficult to do, and even more difficult to imagine being accompanied by soft piano ballads and smooth saxophone jazz inspired beats. However in his debut EP, Kojaque made it seem effortless, and is one to watch from this year’s line up.

Mango x Mathman

            Ireland’s most notorious grime artists, with their hard-hitting beats and rapid flow, the duo are sure to generate electric energy from the crowd. Ever since the release of their “Wheel Up” EP, the duo have been on a constant rise, and are set for more great things to come, starting with Longitude 2018.
