This week’s Back2Basics (24th Feb)

An eclectic mix of old skool progressive house classics, forgotten gems, remixes, rare vinyl and the out-of-the-ordinary, all go to make the eclectic cocktail that is Back2Basics. Only one thing is certain each and every week, that is that the show is 100% live and all the music is played on vinyl. Ireland’s only national all vinyl radio show on RTE Pulse, Ireland’s only national dance music station. Low on chat and high on music, check out this week’s Back2Basics below.

There has been a very unique vinyl night regular happening in Dublin for a months and the latest installment is this Saturday (27th Feb). It is an open decks’ night called The Vintage Disco 900 Club and it all happens in the East Side Tavern on Lower Leeson Street from 9pm.

If you are confident of spinning a few records yourself then you can get your fifteen minutes of DJ fame as there are a few slots left. The name ‘900 Club’ originates the each DJ getting to play for 15 minutes or 900 seconds. Like this show anything goes musically, as long as it is played on vinyl.
