Classic Funk to Genre-Defining Goa Trance – Back2Basics (23rd Sept)

old school vinyl show

Back2Basics is old skool, nu skool and future classics. Presented by SIMON, the show airs every Wednesday at 11pm until 12am. It is RTE’s, and Ireland’s, only radio show where the music is 100% vinyl each and every week.

There’s not many dance music radio shows that will go from classic funk to records that defined Goa Trance in one hour, but this week it happened. Along the way the show picked up classic acid house, minimalist techno and breakbeat as well as some heavy Pink Floyd samples. It’s all here.
